14 students on the Bachelor's degree programme in Early Childhood Education have completed their additional qualification as psychomotor therapists (dakp). In addition to their studies, they spent a year and a half learning how to accompany children and adults in their development through movement.
What is the qualification about?
The certification series is offered by the German Academy - Aktionskreis Psychomotorik (dakp) together with lecturers from our degree programme. Based on a psychomotor attitude that focuses on the individual's own activity, the qualification combines theoretical learning with a wide range of practical emphasis / orientation and the direct transfer of what has been learnt into everyday professional life.
Students learn on four levels:
Theory: Specialist foundation course in psychomotor support
Self-awareness: Personal experience of movement and perception
Practice: Direct transfer to real work situations
Service learning: Learning through involvement with regional practice partners
