On 10 June 2026, 25 students on the Cultural Education (B.A.) programme visited the Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf as part of the ‘Listen to your Eyes’ seminar (an in-house seminar) led by Prof. Dr Frank Jebe. Using selected works by Laurie Anderson, El Anatsui and Gerhard Richter, the students explored key questions relating to the imagination in digital media, post-colonialism and abstract pictorial space within the Kunstpalast collection.
Later in the day, the students had the opportunity to situate and contextualise their own project ideas relating to aesthetic practice within the collection.
The day concluded with an ‘art workout’ at the table tennis tables in the museum foyer.
