"I developed the idea because my grandparents have been increasingly unwell in recent years and need more support. But because my parents work full time and I also work alongside my studies, we all have little time. Thus, everyone was overwhelmed with the new situation.
The existing support services involve a lot of bureaucracy, insurance issues and other hurdles. I wanted to create a solution that would allow students to be socially involved without having to choose between earning their rent and doing good. After all, politicians also want more young people to get involved. Then, time for social engagement should not be something that only rich people can afford.
My app is designed to give students the opportunity to get involved as well as to relieve relatives and seniors. In this way, young and old are brought together, everyone involved learns something and society moves closer together.
Sponsors such as companies, but also foundations or individuals who want to support the commitment of young people, have the opportunity via the app to know exactly who is committed and for how long. So instead of paying once based on specific details, as is the case with scholarships, they promote the commitment that is currently being made.
Since consumers expect engagement from companies these days, they in particular have the opportunity here to do something for their reputation by investing in society."
