Anyone entering the buildings of The Hochschule Niederrhein from winter semester 2021/22 must be able to prove that they have been vaccinated, recovered or tested (3G rule). To this end, all students will receive a card that allows them access to the buildings and which they must show on request.
The cards will be issued at the MG and KR South and West campuses from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the self-testing centers (Mon. - Fri.), as well as on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the library at the MG campus.
The cards have been valid for entering the university buildings since September 27.

How do I get my card?
Vaccinated
students who have been vaccinated will receive their card from Friday, 15 October, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the self-testing centers (Mon. - Fri.), as well as on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the library at the MG campus. After presenting proof of immunization, the card with access authorization will be issued until 28 February 2022.Recovered
Students who have recovered and have not been vaccinated must make an appointment for card issue at .Neithervaccinated nor recovered
Students who have not been vaccinated or recovered can be tested free of charge at the test centers and will receive their card there from Friday, 15 October, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Mon. - Fri.). The card will be issued with access authorization for up to 48 hours.
Card extension
The card can be extended again and again for a further 24 hours after presenting a negative test.How is the card checked?
Since Monday, September 27, teaching staff / supervisors have been checking the cards on entry to the buildings. During the course, the card must be clearly visible on the table. Random checks will be carried out using readers.From November 22nd, random checks of the 3G status will also be carried out indoors.
The card is not transferable?
Anyone who receives their card must date and sign it. The card is not transferable.
