The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of National Socialism. An inter-university lecture series is dedicated to this occasion and examines the involvement of social work in the Nazi regime. It will address not only the profession’s active involvement in exclusion and crimes, but also the continuities in ways of thinking and practices before and after 1945.
The lecture series explores the historical context, the lasting effects and current challenges: how can and should social work today take a stand against authoritarian and misanthropic tendencies?
The sessions take place on Wednesdays from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm (c.t.), alternating between four university campuses, and are streamed online via Zoom. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required.
