Choosing clothes for a trip to the coast in spring or autumn should be practical above all else? Team 3 is rethinking this. Supported by theme exhibitor Epson Deutschland GmbH, they designed and developed a three-piece outfit as part of this year's 5th semester projects, which captures the atmosphere of the coast in an innovative textile design and at the same time protects against wind and weather.
The students' aim was to test the diversity of textile printing, for which they experimented intensively at the Epson Solutions Centre in Meerbusch.
Through the creative interplay of digital printing technologies such as sublimation, DTF (direct to film) and UV printing, new types of textile surfaces were realised that play with surprising visual effects and optical illusions. The students bring the essence of the coast to life in their designs and make you want to take a trip to the sea.
