Team 6 developed a very special fan article with Borussia Mönchengladbach and Riking Textil GmbH:
A knitted scarf that not only stands for team spirit, but also raises awareness for ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome).
ME/CFS is a serious, as yet incurable disease that drastically changes the lives of many people - and yet is far too little known. The goal: more visibility, more knowledge and more support for the disease.
What's special:
The scarf contains a QR code that leads directly to information about ME/CFS and the Empty Stands initiative. Empty Stands draws attention to people who can no longer be in the stadium themselves due to ME/CFS and symbolises the empty seats that their absence leaves behind. In this way, every fan can not only show their colours when wearing them, but also actively raise awareness.
Together, the team shows that design can do more than just be beautiful - it can make people visible!
