Digital library rally with Actionbound

We offer library tours every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. for spatial orientation.

Target groups
People without basic knowledge of the library's services, e.g. students in their first semester, FAUST students, student assistants, tutors, guests of the university, new university employees, other library customers.

Contents
Introduction to the library's facilities and services, e.g., opening hours, contacts, registration, circulation, loan periods, Internet and office PCs, reference holdings, periodicals, term papers, copying and printing.

A certain book that is needed for your studies is not available in the library? Then as a student of The Hochschule Niederrhein you can send an acquisition request to the library. The media will be procured preferably as an e-book (campus license) and made available as quickly as possible. You can find more information on the topic of acquisition here.

Literature that is not listed in the Hochschule Niederrhein catalog can be ordered via interlibrary loan from other libraries to your local library. You can find more information here.

Students of the Hochschule Niederrhein are granted a longer loan period during a semester of practice or a semester abroad as well as when writing a thesis. To apply for a longer loan period when writing a thesis, please present the admission (with the listed deadline) and, in the case of a practice or semester abroad, the certificate from the Examinations Office at the service desk. Alternatively, send us your request by e-mail. The longer loan period can only be issued by the library staff. Reserved media and interlibrary loans are excluded from the longer loan period.

Lockers are available free of charge. You can get a key at the circulation desk against deposit of an ID card. Lockers can be used for a few hours, but also for a longer period (long-term locker). The library is not liable for theft. Please refer to the library regulations.
