Further development of our MBA studies:

Preparing students even better for management tasks with new content

The aim of the career-integrated MBA Degree programme at the Hochschule Niederrhein is to prepare students for management tasks. In order to achieve this even better, the content of the Degree programme will be changed and supplemented for the winter semester 2020/21: the opportunities and risks of digitalization will be addressed even more strongly than before, and more expertise in personnel management will also be taught. Finally, agile leadership methods and concepts from the field of New Work will be integrated into the Degree programme curriculum.

In addition, to make it clear that the two-year study program promotes both management know-how and personal leadership skills, the study program will bear the surname "Leadership & Management" in the future. The degree will continue to be a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Permanent evaluations of the courses as well as surveys of the graduates show the high satisfaction of the participants with the study program. At the same time, the constantly changing demands placed on managers require repeated adjustments to the curriculum. For this reason, three new modules will be integrated into the program in the 2020/21 winter semester:

  • Finally, the module Current Topics in Leadership and Management provides insights into agile working and leadership methods, new work concepts and new creative problem-solving techniques.

Highly qualified contract lecturers with practical applications have been recruited for all modules. With the establishment of the three new modules, the current adaptation goes beyond the otherwise usual semester-by-semester updating of the course content.

Further information on the new modules and the Degree programme as a whole can be found on the website www.mba.hs-niederrhein.de and at the information events mentioned there, to which we cordially invite you.
