Early Childhood Education (B.A.)

Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.

Short description

Accompanying and supporting the individual educational path requires consideration of the social circumstances and specific needs of the children and their families. The accompanying, counselling work with parents and siblings as well as the cooperative collaboration with other specialists (teachers, therapists, etc.) are part of the work of early childhood educators. The content design and implementation of the educational mission requires participation in conceptual, organisational and management tasks that determine everyday pedagogical work.

The young profession of Early Childhood Education offers a wide range of career prospects:

  • in early childhood education centres,
  • in school-supplementary institutions and in the school entry phase as an Early Childhood Education teacher,
  • in youth welfare and children's leisure centres,
  • in early intervention and outpatient support (SPFH).

They create sponsoring and challenging learning environments that focus on the individual learning and development opportunities and potential of children aged 0 to 14.
