Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.

Short description

Our Bachelor's degree programme in Electrical Engineering with a practical emphasis / orientation is the key to a job at the interface of technology and digitalisation. Not only as full-time studies, but also in cooperation with companies from the region in a dual study programme, we will prepare you for your career entry.

The well-founded basic training in electrical engineering is supplemented by computer science content so that you can meet the challenges of digitalisation. The technical content is rounded off by the promotion of soft skills such as project management, technical English and independent working.

In the Bachelor's degree programme in Electrical Engineering, you can deepen your individual interests, e.g. with a specialisation in the areas of automation (Smart Factory) or networked systems (Smart Living).

If you are interested, our study programme also allows you to gain experience abroad through the mobility window.

Interesting detail: Within the first year, you can switch between the B.Eng. Electrical Engineering ( B.Eng.) and B.Eng. Mechatronics without any losses.

With a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, you have excellent career prospects. As an engineer, your ability to solve problems is valued - whether you are involved in product development, production or sales or as an independent consultant. Employers include, for example

  • large industrial groups that use automation in their production
  • Companies that offer automation components or solutions
  • Companies that work on networking the Internet of Things
  • Start-ups that want to conquer the Internet of Things with creative applications
