There was a lot of helpful advice on how to present yourself confidently and how to approach the topic of salary without uncertainty.
The insights into current salary structures were particularly interesting. Salaries often depend on the size of the company and there are clear differences between East and West and between North and South. One key learning: Salaries should always be negotiated with a clearly formulated sum, not as a range. It is equally important to set a personal lower salary limit in advance, but this limit should not be chosen at random; Dr Wilcke showed how important it is to carry out thorough research, for example on online salary portals, collective agreements in the respective industry, the assessment of acquaintances in the company and your own level of experience.
The participants left the event with lots of practical tips, new perspectives and increased self-confidence, well prepared for future job interviews.
