Aims of the training

Upon completion of the degree, participants will be able to:

  • Identify various AI applications that are specifically designed to support pupils in the transition from school to higher education.
  • Recognize the potential of AI-based tools to provide individualized guidance and counseling to pupils, identify their strengths and interests, and plan appropriate educational pathways.
  • Use AI-based tools to create personalized learning plans and monitor learning progress to prepare pupils for the demands of college.
  • Explore AI-based teaching methods that prepare pupils for studies by strengthening their self-regulation skills, learning competencies, and problem-solving skills.
  • Use AI in classroom practice to promote information sharing among teachers, pupils, and colleges to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Responsibly consider the ethical and privacy aspects of using AI in teaching practice.
  • Develop practical strategies to target AI-based resources.

 

 

Contents

The practical seminar is aimed at teachers who are interested in how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used as a helpful tool to successfully accompany pupils during the transition phase from school to university. In this framework, concrete examples and applications will be presented to help teachers specifically prepare pupils for this important stage of life and support a seamless transition.

The seminar offers space for exchange of experiences and networking among the participants in order to share good practice examples and to jointly develop solutions for a successful school-university transition. Participants will receive practical recommendations for action and resources to develop AI-based teaching concepts and successfully prepare pupils for the transition to higher education.

Participation fee

Prof. Dr. Anne-Friederike Hübener, M.Sc. M.A. is professor for social medicine / esp. social psychiatry at the Hochschule Niederrhein. As a double specialist for adult psychiatry as well as child and adolescent psychiatry, psychotherapy, medical quality management, with degrees in Public Health and Social Work , Community Psychiatry and over 10 years of practical experience in all areas of Health Care, her teaching approach is based on the idea of long-life-learning.

Her motto is: You cannot not learn!

Due to her good knowledge from different educational contexts she has a large treasure of innovative methods and concepts especially in areas of transdisciplinary - multiperspectival and multiprofessional learning. Besides the digitalization of the helping professions, she is interested in AI use in teaching education.
