A.U.G.E. (Atma Jaya University) Indonesian doctoral student Ratri Benedictus spoke about the importance of religion as a support factor for safe work. Religiosity - when coupled with high fatalism - can lead to behaving unsafely. However, in the positive case - it conditions a high work ethic and thus leads to higher social compliance. In countries where religious practices play a major role in everyday and working life, they can therefore have a positive influence on the level of safety in occupational health and safety.
