The Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) has presented the FAUST guest student program for the 2024 summer semester. The offer is aimed at all interested people and offers a comprehensive educational and cultural program with over 200 lectures and seminars. The events take place in face-to-face, digital or hybrid form. Registration is possible from February 26 to March 15, 2024.
The offerings include lecture series on philosophical, art historical, social and age-related topics. For example, Professor Dr. Beate Küpper will give a lecture on "Right-wing extremism and attitudes that threaten democracy". Various speakers will address the topic of "650 years of Krefeld: historical reflections". Those who want to get musically active can register for the "Drumming workshop with the djembe".
You can also attend selected events from HSNR's regular programmes from the Faculties of Chemistry, Design, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical and Process Engineering, Oecotrophology, Social Sciences, Textile and Clothing Technology, Business Administration and Economics, and Health Care, as well as language courses.
Digital events are held using Zoom video conferencing software. A microphone and webcam are helpful, but not a requirement. For newcomers, introductory courses for the use of Zoom and the "moodle" learning platform are offered before the start of the semester.
The guest auditor fee is 125 euros per semester for all courses. All guest students receive an ID card that entitles them to use the canteen, language centers and libraries. You can register online or in writing from February 26 to March 15, 2024, as well as in person in Mönchengladbach and Krefeld from March 4 to 15, 2024.
