>> But this was good in that we got to know the entire textile chain, from the first concept to pattern development to the finished garment and the presentation in the form of video or photo.
In the master's program, I find that the prescribed schedule leaves a lot of room for maneuver, in which you can focus much more individually and do research on topics that interest you, are close to your heart, or in which you would like to work in the future. On the part of the professors, you will always find someone who supports you in your plans and establishes valuable contacts with industry. I really like the industry-oriented, future-oriented and market-oriented approach of the master's program, and as a student you always benefit from the wide range of courses and the extensive equipment in the various laboratories. I also like the close contact to fellow students, as the course groups in the master's program are very manageable and, although a lot of work is done online, you can always find a contact person and receive support.

Birgit Ophüls, M.Sc.

>> My master's thesis with a specialisation in logistics has resulted in a fruitful collaboration with the PPE specialist HB Protective Wear Productions. After initially managing and implementing various logistics projects there, I have been responsible for the company's overall logistics since 2018. The combination of my many years of professional experience as a product manager with my master's degree has set off a positive chain reaction and opened up completely new avenues for me. By the way, I continue to use the very well-equipped university library when new topics arise in my job. If the opportunity arises in the next few years, I will attend lectures of the FAUST studies at HSNR. I always enjoy returning to the university for the MG Open Space events, the interesting lectures on various topics as well as the great workshops give me input for my work.
Future students can expect interesting, varied studies with a lot of practical content that can be individually deepened. You should have a good knowledge of mathematics and an interest in broadening and deepening your own range of interests.

Stephanie Hespeler, M.Sc.

>> The scientific and also practical orientation taught at the university is of great benefit especially in professions with a strong innovative character and continuously changing job content. Thus, I actively shape my job content and in the additional function as an internal 3D trainer I can design and implement innovative learning concepts.
For the studies, I recommend students to deal with 3D programs more intensively, as basic knowledge in 3D programs is no longer relevant only in 3D specialized positions in the apparel industry.

Magdalena Mandalka, M.Sc.

>> Students on the Clothing Technology Degree programme are taught a wide range of different course content and skills. I particularly appreciate the fact that every prospective apparel engineer has the opportunity to set different specialisations and acquire targeted skills. In addition to starting a career in the apparel industry, this also opens up career opportunities for graduates in other fields.
I can recommend the Clothing Technology studies at the Hochschule Niederrhein to aspiring clothing engineers who have a passion for fashion, but above all an enthusiasm for fit development, practical work, innovative and solution-oriented thinking. After completing my bachelor's degree, continuing in the form of the Master's degree programme, during which I focused primarily on body measurement and shape analysis, was therefore also the next logical step for me.
