Choose a suitable professor from the department who will supervise you during the project. This professor will assess the suitability of the internship position.
Apply for the internship semester by completing the relevant application form with your details and sending it to the Examinations Office (the link can be found in the download area on the right under "Forms and information": “Registration of the practical semester“).
You must have acquired at least 89 credit points by the time you start the practical semester, and you must be able to prove this in your Transcript of Records (ToR). Please note that it is your responsibility to find an internship position and sign a contract with the company. You can find a sample contract in the download area on the right.

Job and internship offers are regularly published on the homepage of the Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology. For tips and recommendations, please contact the professors of your respective specialisation or, if necessary, the heads of the specialisation.
Application for Outgoing Students with ERASMUS+ for funding is only possible via our Mobility Online Tool.
For internships within the EU, you can apply for funding via the ERASMUS+ Student Mobility Internship programme. For internships within the EU, you can apply for funding via the ERASMUS+ Student Mobility Internship programme (SMP).
Outside the EU, you can apply for the PROMOS funding programme. Please note the application deadlines. You can also find more information on this on the pages of the International Office (IO).
Language skills of at least level B2 in the working language are required for a stay abroad; this can also be proven in the Abitur certificate. Please also find out about possible requirements or prerequisites of the internship company. For language certificates, please contact the Language Centre of the Hochschule Niederrhein.

The short internships in Bangladesh are designed to give students a direct and personal impression of the textile and clothing industry in one of the most important textile and clothing producing countries. Everyday working life, occupational safety, social and ecological standards and the living conditions of the people in the country should be seen and experienced directly and with their own eyes.
