Engineering Day 2024: Team Flexible Electronics introduces itself

The Flexible Electronics team from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences took part in this year's Engineering Days and presented the latest research results and student work from the laboratories to visitors.

The Engineering Days, the annual presentation of all the technical departments of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, offers a platform for students to present their Bachelor's and Master's projects and for the working groups to report on their latest research projects.

The team presented a student project on a bending unit for characterizing the resilience of flexible electronics and a sensor unit for observing wounds under load, as well as their research on flexible light emitters.

"We are excited to participate in Engineering Day and present our work to a wider audience and, most importantly, promote the diverse fields of electrical engineering to pupils," said Prof. Dr. Ekaterina Nannen, Head of the Flexible Electronics team. "Our projects not only represent technological advances, but also the enthusiasm and commitment of our students and staff for electronics and its applications."

The team was delighted with the high level of interest shown by visitors and is looking forward to taking part in next year's Engineering Days.
