Sandra Gellner presents her research on stretchable light-emitting emitters at the 2023 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit in San Francisco

Our Ph.D. student Sandra Gellner highlighted the potential of producing stretchable light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) using highly scalable manufacturing processes during her presentation at the 2023 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit. This underscores their significance in the development of flexible and stretchable lighting technology. She accomplished these results during her six-month research stay in the group of Prof. Ludvig Edman in Umeå, Sweden.

The MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit, a prestigious conference in the field of materials science and technology, provides an outstanding platform for presenting research findings and exchanging ideas. Sandra took advantage of this opportunity to introduce the latest advancements in the field of stretchable LECs and discuss the potential of this technology for various applications in areas such as wearable electronics, medical sensors, and smart textiles.

We are proud of Sandra's outstanding performance and are pleased that her research has gained recognition at this significant conference in San Francisco. Her presentation underscores the innovative spirit of our research group and our leading role in the development of flexible and stretchable electronics.
