Light is an essential part of our lives and has a major influence on our health, well-being and performance. The circadian rhythm in particular, i.e. our internal clock, is strongly influenced by light and lighting. Björn Ullmann dealt with precisely this topic in his master's thesis. The result is the intelligent lamp "Lora", which provides the perfect light for every activity and mood.
Lora brings natural-looking light to the user and supports them in all activities with individually adapted and dynamically changing light. To do this, Lora controls its lighting fully automatically in the various modes. To do this, it draws on data from its light and air quality sensors, which it uses in combination with weather, daytime and seasonal data to make the perfect light setting or adjustment. Using the touch interface, users can further customize the light to their needs, such as further dimming, setting the preferred light temperature or switching to a different mode. For more detailed settings, Lora can also be configured via a smartphone app and easily integrated into your own smart home ecosystem.
For perfect lighting, Lora uses four different white LEDs and individually controllable RGB LEDs. Its light has a vitalizing and activating effect during the day and creates the perfect feel-good atmosphere for switching off and relaxing in the evening. In addition, its colored LEDs create atmospheric accents as well as exciting animations and effects.
Lora is intended to promote a general rethink in the technology sector. Its modular design simplifies repairs and thus sponsors the longest possible service life. If parts of the lamp no longer work as intended at some point, they can simply be replaced by the user. At the same time, used products can be reintroduced to the market through refurbish, rebuy or recycling programs. These steps help to avoid unnecessary electronic waste and sponsor the ecological and sustainable use of electrical appliances.
Lora is the first lamp on the market to offer a total package of intelligent, people-centered lighting, combined with a focus on longevity and sustainability.
While Björn was working on the development of Lora, he had the idea of setting up his own business, especially as there was no comparable product on the market.
