Camera running.... ACTION!

A few days ago, the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences had the pleasure of welcoming director Sara Imhoff as a guest in an exclusive video workshop. Ms. Imhoff, who has almost 20 years of experience in various film and television productions, including at WDR, led a small group of hand-picked founders and those interested in founding a company through the workshop with exceptional ease. The event was organized by HNX, the start-up consulting team of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences.

The focus of the workshop was to take away the participants' fear of the camera, which turned out to be quite challenging. The primary challenge of the day was to learn how to speak in front of the camera, whereby all the important dos and don'ts for image film productions or social media clips were taught. Surprisingly, even the HNX employees who actively participated in the workshop were not immune to the feeling of rigidity as soon as the recording function on their cell phones was activated. Fortunately, the participants developed more and more confidence and routine in front of the camera as the workshop progressed.

We are grateful to Sara Imhoff for this enriching workshop and are already looking forward to a follow-up course for advanced participants. Some courageous participants have made their results available to us. Since it was primarily about speaking in front of the camera, we would like to point out that we would prefer to leave the professional creation and conception of video clips in the professional hands of our designers, but we are happy about the playful use of the Inshot app. :0)
