Research

In recent years, we have worked on numerous research projects from industry with companies from Germany and abroad and publicly funded projects on the following topics:

  • Supercritical fluids for the deposition of nanoparticles and dyes into porous structures and textile sheet materials.
  • New materials for catalysts
  • Nonwovens and composites
  • Statistics, DoE, chemometrics
R & D work

Inhouse work

In-house theses (Bachelor, Master) on current research topics can be prepared at any time. This guarantees optimal supervision and the possibility to work with modern equipment (DSC, UV/VIS/NIR, thermomechanical methods etc.). Furthermore, there is the possibility to use the infrastructure of the ILOC. The topics are often prepared in cooperation/questions from industry.

Specialisations/questions

  • new methods for the deposition of nanoparticles in porous structures
  • production of nonwovens by the wetlaid process
  • new composite material systems
  • extraction and impregnation in supercritical fluids (e.g. scCO2)
  • questions from the field of multivariate data analysis
