At the beginning of each winter semester, the examination board chairpersons offer information events on the degree programme and examination regulations. Separate events are held for the English-language degree programmes and for first-year students and students in higher semesters on the German degree programmes. You can find a copy of the presentations in the download area on the right.
Applications, e.g. for the postponement of compulsorily registered examinations and guidelines for withdrawing from examinations, can be found on the Examinations Office website. Various announcements are published in the download area on the right.
Students of the Hochschule Niederrhein who wish to change
within their degree programme must submit a corresponding application. The application form for the change and a description of the procedure can be found on the Student Services page. Recognition tables showing which recognitions can be awarded after switching from PO-2017 to PO-2025 can be found on the right in the download area.
In the download area you will find the conversion key from the number of points achieved in an exam to the corresponding grade (based on a total score of 100).
We also offer Excel files as a service, which you can use to calculate your current average grade or a provisional overall grade. As the calculations naturally depend on the respective examination regulations, you should take care to select the correct file.

Certificates for the Bafög office are issued by the Examination Office. An overview of the requirements that must be met in order to obtain the certificate can be found in the document ‘Requirements for BAFÖG certificates’.
From the summer semester 2016, the Department of Textile and Clothing Technology has changed the admission procedure for the Master's degree programmes "Textile Products" and "Management of Textile Trade and Technology". The new procedure is set out in separate regulations.

An examination board is responsible for the organisation of examinations and the tasks defined in the examination regulations. It is an independent body of the Hochschule Niederrhein and an authority within the meaning of administrative procedure and administrative procedural law. It consists of the chairperson, their deputy and five other members. The Chairperson, the Deputy Chairperson and two further members are elected by the Faculty Council from among the professors, one member from among the academic staff and two members from among the students.
The Faculty of Textile and Clothing Technology has two examination boards, one for the German-language degree programmes and one for the English-language degree programmes.
