In the dual study package, you will complete the following in addition to the Bachelor's degree programme in Food Science you will also complete an apprenticeship at the Central College of the German Confectionery Industry (ZDS) in Solingen, either as a specialist in food technology or as a confectionery technologist.
The dual package can be roughly divided into the following sections:
- 1st year: apprenticeship in the company and at the ZDS
- 2nd year: First and second specialisation semesters at The Hochschule Niederrhein
- 3rd year: apprenticeship in the company and at the ZDS
- 4th year: Third and fourth specialisation semester at The Hochschule Niederrhein
- 5th year: Fifth and sixth specialisation semester at The Hochschule Niederrhein and Bachelor's thesis.
