The Hochschule Niederrhein's Faculty of Business Administration and Economics invites you to the next expenditure of the Banking & Finance Forum. On Wednesday, November 20, 2024from 6 p.m. (main auditorium, Webschulstraße 41-43, Mönchengladbach), the topic of the placement of a promissory bill by industrial gases specialist Messer as part of acquisition financing is on the agenda.
This expenditure will also be organized by Dr. Bernhard Müller, Professor of General Business Administration, in particular Finance. Admission is free. External guests are requested to register by e-mail at forum_bankingandfinance(at)hs-niederrhein.de.
Among financing instruments, the Schuldschein is considered a kind of "hidden champion". Although the market reached a notable size in 2023 with an issue volume of around 22.8 billion euros, the issue and subscription of Schuldscheine often takes place away from the public eye.
Today's guest company is not a "hidden champion". Messer SE Co. KGaA, with its headquarters and technology site in Krefeld, is the world's largest privately owned specialist for industrial, medical and specialty gases.
The Banking & Finance Forum will focus on the placement of promissory bills for the purpose of acquisition financing. In his presentation, Christian Metzler, Senior Vice President Corporate Finance & Treasury at Messer, will explain the practical orientation of the structuring and placement of promissory bills as a means of acquisition financing.
