Team 2: Development of new, functional workwear

Team 2 - 2026

New fur for the raccoon family

It's Monday morning at the Edeka supermarket in Kassel. The shelves are full, customers are streaming in - and in the middle of it all is the team in their familiar polo shirts. Quickly a notepad, a pen, the mobile recording device - but where to put it when the clothes have no pockets? This is where Team 2 of this year's 5th semester projects comes in.

The team developed new work clothing for the EDEKA Mühlenbein supermarket. The aim: a look that is modern, is easily recognisable and really makes everyday working life easier.

The new clothes combine a professional look with high functionality: robust materials, a comfortable fit, flexible size adjustment and ergonomic cuts such as raglan sleeves for maximum freedom of movement. Smart storage solutions - from fixed pockets to a modular belt with detachable pockets - ensure that everything you need remains within easy reach.

The brand reference was also important to the team: black outer fabric for a calm, professional overall look, combined with yellow piping and seams as a CI highlight. The raccoon logo on the back and the EDEKA lettering on the chest make the team instantly recognisable and strengthen the store's visual identity.

Special thanks go to Mr Josef Mühlenbein, who accompanied and supported the project
