‘What We Men Really Lose’ – a reading by Patrick van Lier

To mark International Men’s Day on 19 November, the City of Mönchengladbach’s Equal Opportunities Office and the Equal Opportunities Officer at the Hochschule Niederrhein cordially invite you to a reading with Patrick van Lier.

In a talk entitled ‘What We Men Are Really Losing’, Patrick van Lier (born in 1987), who is married and the father of three children, discusses masculinity, responsibility and equality – honestly, personally and with an eye to what can change. He is also known to many through his Instagram channel @feministo_explains.

In his first book, he tackles a central question in current debates on gender equality and turns the spotlight on an area that is often overlooked: the role and responsibility of men in feminist change. Look forward to an evening that inspires reflection and offers space for discussion.

Although the focus on this day is particularly on men, people of all genders are warmly invited to spend the evening with us.
