Conflict management in the working world 4.0

Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.
About the continuing education programme

The world of work 4.0 is more digitalized, more mobile, more efficient and more networked. This also changes the way we work: interdisciplinary teams are being formed more and more frequently, for example, in which employees with different knowledge and skills pursue a common goal across departmental boundaries. For you as a specialist and manager, this means that you have to deal constructively with increasing conflicts and friction. Even the best project plans quickly reach their limits if people and social dynamics are not "factored in". Conflict management is therefore an essential core competence in the digital age.

Goals of the continuing education

The continuing education provides a sound overview of models and tools of modern conflict management. The instruments are presented, reflected upon and practiced using concrete examples from the participants. The participants thus receive the necessary tools for a goal- and result-oriented conflict management 4.0.

Upon successful completion of the continuing education, you will be able to:

  • Analyze and evaluate complex conflict situations.
  • Differentiate between various methods for preventing and managing a conflict situation.
  • Apply the appropriate method for managing different types of conflict (for example team conflicts, leadership conflicts) to practical situations.
  • To independently assess their own case studies on conflict management (for example in digitization projects) and to be able to transfer the methods and tools learned to the individual problems.
Target group

Project managers, executives, junior managers, works and staff councils, specialists and experienced employees from companies, administrations and organizations who have to deal with operational conflict situations.

Teaching and learning education

The interactive seminar features a mix of short impulse lectures, exercises, small group work, discussion and case work. Online materials support the self-learning phase. Due to the limited number of participants, individual problems and questions can be addressed.

The curriculum and further information can be found in the flyer and in the download area.
