Target group
The Degree programme is aimed at practice-oriented prospective students who are looking for a broad-based course of studies that will enable them to take on specialist and managerial tasks in a wide range of business administration fields, while at the same time providing training in one of the associated apprenticeships.
Aim of the studies
The studies are intended to enable the students to take on specialist and management tasks in a wide range of business administration fields in national and international companies, associations, public and comparable institutions.
The studies impart the basic knowledge required for practical professional applications and a broad range of specialist, methodological and social skills. Graduates are able to analyze problems in business practice with the help of appropriate methods and to develop implementation-oriented solution concepts with recourse to scientific findings. They acquire the ability to think in a networked manner; they are thus able, for example, to classify business management issues in broader corporate processes or in overarching economic-social contexts.
Content and structure of the degree programme
From the first to the fourth semester, the programme content is the same as that of the existing full-time degree programme, and from the fifth semester onwards it is the same as that of the career-integrated degree programme.
In the eight-semester Bachelor's degree programme "Business Administration dual (B.A.)", students are taught the following areas of knowledge and qualifications:
- the basic knowledge of business administration (business administration core area),
- the other knowledge required for activities in operational management functions (economics, taxes, business law, business informatics) and
- the key qualifications required (mathematics, business languages and international competence as well as other key qualifications).
Building on this knowledge, the dual Bachelor's degree programme offers the opportunity to deepen the content of selected subject areas by choosing two specialisation courses.
In addition, a large number of compulsory optional courses offer students the additional possibility of either rounding off their choice of specialization in a meaningful way or of opening up further fields of economics.
At the end of the Degree programme, the Bachelor's thesis must be written and presented in an oral examination. The Degree programme is modular, with each module culminating in a performance examination for which the corresponding credit points are awarded.
Programme of study
The eight-semester dual programme of study is the training-accompanying variant of the existing full-time degree programme Bachelor in Business Administration of our faculty. The dual students are integrated into the existing semester groups.
