Conception of a key figure-based sales cockpit

Bachelor's thesis: "Conception of an indicator-based sales cockpit for the store management of a textile mass customization provider", Markus Bünnemeyer, Summer Semester 2021, Supervisors: Prof. Dr. Ute Ständer & Dr. Christian Tietz

The offer of industrial mass customization leads to an information demand in the stores of a retailer, which differs in parts from the typical demand in clothing retail. The goal of this work was the conception of a key figure-based and user-oriented sales cockpit for a branch-based supplier of industrial made-to-measure clothing. For this purpose, an individualized and for the sales control of the company relevant key figure system was developed first, which contained typical control key figures of the retail trade (e.g. turnover) as well as key figures adapted to the core product of the company or product-specific key figures. For a clear and concise overview of these key figures in the cockpit, tachometer diagrams or text form (supported by traffic light symbols) in particular were chosen as visualization tools.

Smart Textiles

Smart electronic textiles play a very significant role in the advancing digitalization, especially in the private, health and industrial context. Sensors, actuators, transmitters and data processing units can, for example, be integrated into clothing, medical wound dressings or even structural components and home textiles.
