Nutritional sciences (B.Sc.)

Hochschule Niederrhein. Your way.

Short description

Nutritional science puts people at the centre of attention. It deals with scientific issues relating to

Nutrition | Health | Communication | Consumption.

The studies of nutritional science are based on natural sciences and biomedicine. Business Administration and Economics, Communication and Social Sciences are also included.

After the basic studies, you can choose one of the 4 specialisations:

  • Nutrition Communication and Marketing
  • Nutritional Management
  • Nutrition and Health Counselling
  • Human Nutrition

A special feature of the degree programme is the long-term project. A team of students from different semesters work and research together for three semesters on a practical application.

And another treat: an internship semester or a semester abroad can be incorporated into the programme. There is therefore a choice between the 6-semester and the 7-semester Degree programme.

The aim of the studies is to prepare students for the application of science in the world of work and life. It also creates the prerequisites for a subsequent Master's degree programme.

The focus of our Bachelor's degree programme in Food Science is on food itself.
