Do you want to get your career off to a flying start as a manager?
Do you want to choose your specialization during your studies according to your own interests?
Do you want to work on exciting practical projects together with your fellow students?
Do you want to concentrate fully on your studies?

Then our full-time Master's degree programme in Business Management (MBM) is just right for you. In four semesters, you will learn how to make business decisions in a complex, dynamic environment and find sustainable solutions to social challenges. This will improve your career opportunities and enable you to take off as a manager.

Aim and structure of the studies

Aim of the studies
The Master's degree programme in Business Management (MBM) has a clear goal: to qualify you to sustainably shape transformations in companies and business-related organizations throughout your entire professional life. These transformations result from the dynamic environment of companies and are particularly characterized by technological, ecological and social changes, such as the digitalization of living and working environments and the challenges of the climate crisis.

We prepare you for management tasks in organizations on the basis of sound specialist and methodological knowledge and relevant future skills. Our degree programme takes a competence-oriented approach and places particular emphasis on the development of so-called "future skills", i.e. the skills and abilities you will need for your professional life in the coming years - across all sectors and industries. In addition to "classic skills" such as leadership skills, we focus in particular on change skills, sustainability skills and digital skills.

Structure of the studies
Your chosen specializations form the core of your studies. You can choose from "Strategic Procurement Management", "Controlling", "Human Resource Management" and "Marketing". You choose two of these specializations in the 2nd and 3rd semesters according to your personal interests and professional goals. Four modules per specialization address current topics, such as "Digitalization and Sustainability in Procurement", "Resilience and Self-Management in Human Resource Management", "Business Intelligence and ESG Reporting" or "Sustainability and Diversity Marketing".
Detailed information on the individual modules can be found in the illustration.

The specializations are framed by compulsory courses on topics such as "Sustainability Management" and "Digital Business". This ensures that the important topics of the future run through your entire curriculum.

A special feature of your studies is the "Social Project", in which you get involved in promoting the common good, e.g. through volunteering, a research project on social responsibility or by supporting student initiatives. In the spirit of "Future Skills", you will learn how to transfer your business skills to other areas of society.

Future prospects after completing your studies
With a degree in Business Management, you will be an expert in digital transformation and sustainability and in demand in numerous companies. Our graduates work as specialists or managers in a wide range of industries and companies, e.g. as

  • Project Manager
  • HR Operations Expert

  • Senior Procurement Manager
