Are you interested in studying at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics?

Here you will find information about our programmes and everything you need to know about starting your studies with us. In addition, you will get first insights into our ongoing studies as well as into projects with our partners from research and industry.

With over 3,000 students, our Faculty of Business Administration and Economics is the largest faculty at Hochschule Niederrhein. We are located on campus Mönchengladbach. Currently, there are more than 50 professors, one senior lecturer, six teachers for special purposes and about 20 academic and non-academic staff working at the faculty. We also have several affiliated institutes and competence centres, and more than 80 contract lecturers from business and industry are involved in teaching education.

Degree Programmes

Our application-oriented degree programmes combine current scientific knowledge and the requirement profiles from the economy. In doing so, we rely on action-oriented forms of teaching and project assignments in cooperation with industry, thus ensuring apprenticeship with a practical emphasis / orientation.

In addition to the classic full-time studies, we also offer other study formats such as career-integrated studies, part-time studies, dual studies and apprenticeships. In addition, we offer a triple degree programme, degree programmes with a double degree, degree programmes taught in English and certificate programmes.

We also offer preparatory courses in English and / or mathematics for all of our students, in which you can widen or deepen your knowledge and thus optimally prepare for your studies! Here you can find more information.

Online application
Online application

The online application is always done via the university's application portal. For Degree programmes with open admission (no NC), you can proceed with registration directly after submitting your application.

For Degree programmes with restricted admission (NC), the application is followed by the allocation procedure. Registration is only possible once you have been admitted to a Degree programme and have received an offer of admission. The allocation takes place via hochschulstart.de (application there is also necessary).

First-timers
Info for freshmen

During the introductory week, our first-year students receive all the information they need about starting their studies and a presentation of all the IT tools that are relevant to their studies. In addition, other counseling services, the library, etc. will be presented.

Before the introductory week, pre-courses in English and mathematics will be held for all enrolled first-year students of our faculty.

Both semesters abroad and internships abroad are possible. Our diverse network offers you the opportunity to experience a well-organized and sponsored study abroad at partner universities.
