Dual studies for double success

 

The Faculty of Health Care offers the following dual degree programmes in combination with an apprenticeship in accordance with the Krefeld Model:

  • Health Care Management and the apprenticeship in a recognized apprenticeship institution in the health care sector, in particular as a management assistant in the health care sector.
  • Medical informatics and the apprenticeship as an IT specialist for system integration.

 

Furthermore, the following Degree programmes are offered in cooperation with our partners:

  • Applied Therapy Sciences and the apprenticeship as physiotherapist or occupational therapist
  • Nursing and the specialized school training in geriatric nursing and health care/children's nursing.

Programme of study

The programme of study makes application orientation part of the program. Parallel to the studies, the content taught can be applied in the practical application of the apprenticeship. Likewise, the students should face the challenge of reflecting on the knowledge gained in practical application in their studies.

Admission requirements

 

One admission requirement is the general entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or a previous education recognized as equivalent.

 

HCM Degree programme

In addition, you will need a training contract with a recognized training institution in the Health Care sector, in particular as a Management Assistant in the Health Care sector. We strongly recommend not shortening the training period to 2 years.
