Continuing education format at university level

Certificate courses are a university-level continuing education format offered to professionals with and without a university degree. They meet the same formal requirements and quality standards as the undergraduate degree program at the Hochschule Niederrhein. Certificate courses comprise at least 25 hours of workload (1 ECTS) up to 125 hours of workload (5 ECTS). This workload is divided into one to five attendance days with self-learning phases before or in between. This "blended learning" enables working participants to organize their own learning process partly independent of time and place. To receive a certificate, participants must successfully pass an examination. They receive a certificate of attendance if they attend at least 75% of the classroom sessions.
